Nigeria Records 403 New COVID-19 Cases, Total Inflections Hits 16,085
Nigeria’s COVID-19 infections reached another milestone on Sunday as Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC reported 403 new infections, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 16,085
Thirteen deaths were recorded from the virus on Sunday, taking the total number of confirmed deaths from the virus to 420
Having fully recovered and tested negative to COVID-19, NCDC has announced the discharged of 119 new patients on Sunday, bringing the number of successfully recovered patients to 5,220.
There was a drop in the number of infections (403) reported on Sunday compared to the number (501) reported on Saturday.
Nigeria has so far tested 92,924 persons since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced.
The public health agency in a tweet said the new cases were reported in 19 states and the Federal Capital Territory. No new state has reported a case in the last 24 hours
With the latest update, Gombe recorded the highest number of cases reported on Sunday, with 73 infections, followed by Lagos which recorded 68, Kano and Edo states recorded 46 and 36 cases respectively.

As of the time of reporting, 35 states and the FCT have recorded at least a case of the disease. Only one state, Cross River, is yet to report any case of the virus.
On the 14th of June 2020, 403 new confirmed cases and 13 deaths were recorded in Nigeria
No new state has reported a case in the last 24 hours.
Till date, 16085 cases have been confirmed, 5220 cases have been discharged and 420 deaths have been recorded in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
