Nigeria Records 136 New COVID-19 Cases

136 new novel coronavirus infection cases has been confirmed in 12 states and the Federal Capital Territory with 3 coronavirus-related deaths in the Nigeria in the past 24 hours.

With the new update, the tally of infected people in the country rose to 58,460. However, 101 patients were discharged after testing negative to the virus.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), disclosed this via its official Twitter handle late Monday.

Data obtained from the NCDC’s website shows that 71 of the new cases were recorded in Lagos, 23 cases were recorded in Rivers,  12 cases in Plateau and Adamawa 6 recorded cases.

Others states with new cases are: Oyo-6, Kaduna-5, Abia-3, FCT-3, Katsina-2, Kwara-2, Bauchi-1, Borno-1 and Edo-1.

Nigeria has tested 507,006 persons since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced on 27 February 2020.

According to the health agency, on the 28th of September 2020, 136 new confirmed cases and 3 deaths were recorded in Nigeria

Till date, 58,460 cases have been confirmed, 49,895 cases have been discharged and 1,111 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
