COVID-19: Nigeria Records 163 New Cases, Total Now 60,266
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its COVID-19 update on Sundau, stated that 163 new cases were confirmed in the country, with zero coronavirus related death in 11 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The new updates raised the tally of infections to 60,266.
NCDC also announced the discharge of 24 patients from isolation centers across the country.
The health agency’s data showed that Lagos accounting for the highest number of infections for the day with 113 cases, 21 cases in Kaduna, 8 cases in Osun and 5 cases each in Ondo and Oyo.
Other states with new cases include: Ogun-3, Bayelsa-2, Taraba-2, Edo-1, FCT-1 Katsina-1 and Plateau-1.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has conducted about 553,037 tests since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced.
According to the NCDC, on On the 11th of October 2020, 163 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria.
Till date, 60266 cases have been confirmed, 51735 cases have been discharged and 1115 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
