COVID-19: 169 New Infections Recorded in Nigeria

In the latest update of the Covid-19 pandemic in Nigeria, 169 new infections have been reported as of Thursday November 26th by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.

With the newly confirmed infections the tally of infections in the country now stand at 66,974.

The death toll stand at 1,169, as no patient confirmed dead within 24 hours, while 92 patients have recovered from the virus infection and discharged.

The country has so far tested 756,237
persons since the beginning of the pandemic, according to the health agency.

NCDC data shows that the new infections were spread across 11 states and Federal Capital Territory. Kaduna accounting for the highest number of infections for the day with 74 infections. 42 of the new infections were found in FCT, 17 in Lagos, and 8 in Kano state.

Other states with new infections include Ogun-6, Oyo-6, Rivers-6, Ekiti-3, Bauchi-3, Katsina-2, Delta-1 and Ondo-1.

In summary, on the 26th of November 2020, 169 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria
Till date, 66,974 cases have been confirmed, 62,585 cases have been discharged and 1,169 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
