COVID-19: Nigeria Records 82 Infections
Nigeria on Sunday recorded 82 new coronavirus (COVID-19) infections, 2 additional deaths and 236 patients recovered from the virus infections and discharged after testing negative.
With new update, the total number of infections in the country reached 67,412 , according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
Data from the health agency indicated that the new cases were found in 10 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with 48 infections, followed by Rivers with 8, Kwara
and Yobe had 6 each and Kastina recorded 5 infections.
Other states with new cases include, FCT-3, Nasarawa-2, Plateau-1, Ogun-1, Kano-1 and Osun-1.
Since the beginning of the outbreak in Nigeria in February, more than 756,237 samples have been tested by NCDC, out of which 67,412 were positive.
According to the health agency, on the 29th of November 2020, 82 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria.
Till date, 67,412 cases have been confirmed, 63,055 cases have been discharged and 1,173 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
